Biography

KATHERYN E. HANCOCK is a bankruptcy lawyer, practicing since 2009. She received her Bachelor of Arts in History and English from the University of North Florida in 2000, her Master's Degree in Latin American Studies from Vanderbilt University in 2003, and her Juris Doctorate from the University of Alabama School of Law in 2009. While attending law school, Ms. Hancock served as Junior Editor for the Law and Psychology Review, was a member of the Bench and Bar Legal Honor Society and served on the Moot Court Board.

After graduation from law school, Ms. Hancock joined the Knoxville, Tennessee firm of Clark & Washington, LLC, specializing primarily in consumer debtor matters. Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Hancock was president of The Hancock Law Firm, P.A. continuing her representation of consumer debtors.

Ms. Hancock joined the Firm as an associate in 2022. Ms. Hancock is admitted to practice before all Florida and Tennessee Courts, the United States District Court for the Middle and Southern Districts of Florida and the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Tennessee. Ms. Hancock is a member of The Florida Bar and is the Vice President of the Jacksonville Beaches Bar Association. Ms. Hancock is a board member of the Jacksonville Bankruptcy Bar Association (President 2020). Ms. Hancock is also a board member of the St. Augustine Music Festival and is a past president of the Beaches Residents Actively Supporting the Symphony organization.
